by tradition
Oct 21, 2025 · Guild Hall Loft · 2 PM
Needles, looms, and stories: a textile circle where master embroiderers teach the motifs their families carried for generations.

Threads Woven by Tradition pairs each guest with a master stitcher for the afternoon. You’ll learn two foundational stitches, the meaning of three classic border motifs, and you’ll leave with a started sampler — plus the pattern card to finish it at home.
Looms are warped and waiting for the weaving corner, where pairs take turns throwing the shuttle on a shared guild tapestry. All materials are included, and every skill level is welcome.
